6-12 months before:
o Decide division of financial obligations.
o Set budget.
o Select bride's engagement ring.
o Set appointment with clergyman.
o Prepare your guest list.
o Choose your best man and ushers.
o Plan your honeymoon.
o Check passports and visas.
4 months before:
o Select formalwear.
o Find a new place to live.
o Shop for new home furnishings.
o Make reservations for honeymoon.
o Have a complete physical exam and update your immunizations.
o Buy wedding rings.
o Order engraving.
2 months before:
o Make reservations for rehearsal dinner.
o Reserve limousine or arrange special transportation for
bridal couple and wedding party.
o Set date with your fiancé to get marriage license.
(State laws vary as to length of valid license).
1 month before:
o Shop for clothing for wedding trip.
o Select your bride's gift and gifts for your attendants.
o Review legal, medical and church documents.
o Find lodging for out-of-town guests.
o Set appointment for blood tests.
o Confirm honeymoon details and reservations.
2 weeks before:
o Arrange to move your belongings to new home.
o Plan bachelor party or dinner.
o Schedule hair styling appointment.1 week before:
o Confirm time and place of wedding rehearsal and rehearsal
dinner with all attendants.
o Give final guest count to restaurant.
o Pick up wedding rings.
o Give best man clergyman's fee in sealed envelope for delivery.
o Pack for honeymoon.
